Hopefully you’re a regular to our Trivia Contest page.  If not, this is how it works.   We will give you what we hope to be obscure or somewhat obscure movie lines.  You will then need to tell us the movie it’s from and the year it was released.  We will be posting on Twitter and Facebook, but only answers given on the bottom of this page in the “Leave a Reply” box will be eligible for prizes.

We know we’ve been gone a while, you all know how it is, life gets in the way.  At any rate, we’re back with a new contest, and we have a pretty cool prize to give a way.  It’s a half gallon, Igloo thermos bottle with a spigot on top.  It has a Gulfstream Park logo on one side and horses running in a race on the other.  Would be great for filling up with iced tea or something stronger for the beach or a picnic, and with summer right around the corner it could be yours. Just decipher the answer to this long-winded, but cool movie line.  Good luck!!

No guesses yet so here’s you first hint: The movie in question was released in 2004.  If that doesn’t help, more hints to follow.

So we have a winner.  Actually we have winners.  It’s been a while since we’ve had a contest, and the winners posted on Facebook and through the website but semi-incorrectly, then one finally correctly.  It made it hard to determine who to declare the winner, so we’ve decided to give them both prizes.  The correct answer was 2004’s Flight of the Phoenix.  A remake of a Jimmy Stewart 60’s classic, this rendition stars Dennis Quaid as the pilot of a flight that goes down in the Gobi desert.  The survivors, with many obstacles,  must redesign their plane from what they can salvage so they can fly back home.  This line was spoken by a smaller player in the movie, who Dennis Quaid had to go fetch because the dude was trying to walk out.  Dennis Quaid’s character didn’t really want to try and make a new plane and this guy was making his case with these epic words. At any rate, it’s definitely worth a watch if you come across it.  Our winners are Frank Mazzella of New York and Lilliana Rodriguez of Miami.  We’ll be in touch with both of you to get you your prizes very soon.  Thanks everyone for playing!!
